#1 Cochran is proud to announce its selection as one of the top 85 places to work in Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh, PA -- #1 Cochran is proud to announce its selection as one of the top 85 places to work in Pittsburgh. In an annual survey by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, #1 Cochran ranked eighth out of 15 winners in the Large Company category and was the only automotive retailer to earn the distinction among companies with more than 500 employees.
The ranking was based on candid responses by #1 Cochran’s Team Members to questions targeting leadership, career opportunities, work flexibility, and benefits and compensation. In response to the honor, Rob Cochran, president and CEO of #1 Cochran, said, “We’re exceptionally pleased to be named to the Top Workplaces list. We’re proud of our Team Members and recognize that the best way to attain our future vision is to build a team of dedicated, passionate professionals.”
Aaron Herbick, #1 Cochran’s director of Human Resources, added, “Our company culture is centered on valuing our people and celebrating their individual and team successes. Being voted one of Pittsburgh’s best workplaces is a strong indicator that we’re doing the right things for our Team Members.”
A total of 155 companies throughout the Pittsburgh region took part in this year’s program. Workplace Dynamics LLC conducts the Top Workplaces surveys nationwide and calculates the winners. The local program is run in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The surveys seek opinions within six areas of the workplace:
• Direction: Assessment of the company’s values, leaders and strategy.
• Execution: Assessment of how the company communicates and gets work done.
• Career: Opportunity for training and progression.
• Conditions: Assessment of working atmosphere and working environment.
• Managers: Quality of the managers and their managerial skills.
• Pay & Benefits: Assessment of employee compensation for the work done.
