The Van Tuyl Group to Tap the Power of OVE.com
ATLANTA – Manheim, the world’s leading provider of vehicle remarketing services, today announced it has entered into an extended partnership with The Van Tuyl Group Inc., which manages the largest group of privately held automotive dealerships in the United States.
In addition to a commitment to direct increased vehicle volumes to Manheim, as part of this new agreement the Van Tuyl Group’s Metro Auto Auction in Phoenix, AZ, will become a facilitating location for OVE.com, Manheim’s 24/7 bid or buy now wholesale vehicle marketplace.
Facilitating locations are the brick-and-mortar auctions that guarantee title and money for OVE.com’s transactions. Another Van Tuyl auction scheduled to open in Dallas will also become a facilitating location for OVE.com.
“This is a significant partnership for Manheim and a strategic move for The Van Tuyl Group, as they continue to acquire new stores in new markets,” said Susie Heins, vice president, major dealers, Manheim. “The Van Tuyl family has had a long history within the automotive industry, and we believe our corporate cultures make a great fit in terms of our shared values, our commitment to technology and our focus on quality customer service.”
As the Van Tuyl Group’s Metro Auto Auction has enjoyed a long standing relationship with Manheim Financial Services (MAFS), the management company also will extend this offering to their new Dallas facility. MAFS aids independent dealers in the process of buying, selling and floor planning vehicles.
“We’re excited about this new partnership with Manheim, as it allows us to offer a new range of value-added services for our customers,” said Kent Montgomery, Van Tuyl Group. “By tapping into the power of OVE.com, our dealers and sellers will gain access to the nation’s top online sales channels for their inventory. Offering Manheim Financial Services to our buyer base also gives them another well-respected and trusted option for their extensive floor-planning needs.”
With offices in Arizona, Kansas and Texas, The Van Tuyl Group works with approximately 65 independent auto dealerships nationwide. The management company supports its dealers by providing accounting, finance and insurance, risk management, legal, real estate, construction and technology-related services. The group has a history of pioneering innovative services and the latest technology, but its first priority has always been a dedication to hands-on customer service and training.
